Feedback on idea 1
My production group liked the inspiration behind my opening scene, as it's based on real life events and would most likely include action which would be enjoyable to film. Some criticisms include the cast, as I based the idea around the Chinese mafia and when casting I would need to use teachers otherwise it would look ridicules having 17–18-year-olds playing mature respected gangsters as there are not enough Chinese male adults available for the shoot. Therefore, it was suggested we more away from the Chinese triads and potentially move to English gangsters for example as this does not affect my idea as I would use old school 1970-80's gangsters as the concept stays the same. It was also suggested that I use two scenes one showing the businessman and the other sowing the mafia members portraying them in an appropriate manor, also to show the businessman on an overly disposable phone hesitant to make a phone call, this adds to the connotations of the scene as the audience will begin to understand what is going on in the crustal first few minutes of the sequence.

My second idea had good feedback as it follows the structure of a classic horror film, but it was also mentioned that it may be too generic. We would have to shoot at night to get the effect of a Halloween night and a location attached to the school was identified as perfect for the sequence. This sequence would be fun to film due to the genre and we would be able to experiment with things on set in order to make this sequence very stereotypical as it again does follow the theme of a generic horror film, therefore, to add a different aspect to it we could potentially exaggerate certain stereotypes.
