Cars (2006)
Cars was made in 2006 by Disney’s Pixar and directed
John Lasseter, Joe Ranft (co-director) some of the main voice over cast include Owen Wilson, Bonnie Hunt, Paul Newman. The original story was written by john Lasseter. I have watched this film around 5 times over the years of my life, and I particularly enjoy the way that the cars universe and how the laws of nature and life that we apply to our normal everyday life either don’t apply or are altered with the cars universe. I last watched Cars in the middle of isolation, the reason I have chosen cars, and not cars 1 or 2, is because I like that way that the story of the character is set up and how through the series lighting McQueen becomes more and more wise, as he starts as a rookie and by the end of the 3rd film he is almost a wise man who is arrogant and afraid of change.
Another reason I like cars is because there are a lot of connotations within the film that as this is a children's film, this can teach children very valuable lessons in life with the light imprint of colourful cars driving in circles, as the film is based around the nascar series in America. Another reason that I enjoy this this film is that it challenges your thinking with the different types of cars that seem to be alive and assumed that they are born in there state clearly built for a certain purpose, such as the race cars and others such as tractors and diggers all born in there form, almost like a race within cars, on a much broader scale.
Trivia: This was Paul Newman's last feature film before his death of lung cancer in 2008. It turned out to be the highest-grossing movie of his career. George Carlin died of heart failure three months earlier. This was the highest-grossing film of his career as well.
Luigi's license plate reads 445-108, which is the latitude and longitude for the main Ferrari factory in Modena, Italy.
