Belstone pictures
Belstone Pictures is an example of a British independent production company incorporated in 2012. The company’s sole shareholder is Finn Bruce and they have released three low budget films. One of which was Tank432 (2015) didn’t have any star actors, a lot of them were doing it the first time or they had only ever previously been in small movies or television shows, this film acted as a tent pole film for funding in other projects, Finn himself would agree that Tank432 was not amazing as the reviews suggest, but it sold well and allowed them to put 10 other films in varying stages of production, showing the huge success the small film studio has had. Their film Tucked was only available for the time span of 11 weeks in 60 different cities; it was easier for them to share the film in different places as it was produced on a DCP so the digital prints on encrypted hard drives are easier to make and send to different places, showing how remorseful they have been making intelligent decisions in order to maximise their small audience early on as they have nowhere near the available budgets available compared to the bigger studios such as warner brothers. Belstone have released some of their films on YouTube video on demand and are selling copies available on Amazon, allowing them to get their name out there as well create revenue for future productions. Their headquarters is in Oakley Street, London and has been running for eight years. As a small institution they can take risks as they have smaller budgets them the bigger institution, they also do not have to please a brouad audience therefore they can vairy their films to appeal to a select audience
